5. Understand What This Plugin Does #
Congratulations on completing the initial setup! Now, let’s dive into the fun part: creating a carousel in Divi! First, let’s understand how this plugin works and what it offers.
Our plugin features separate modules for various types of carousels, such as images, testimonials, WooCommerce products, and blog posts. This means you have multiple modules within one plugin, making it user-friendly and versatile. This approach makes it easier for users to set up carousels quickly and overcome any limitations they may encounter.
The name “Divi Carousel Slider” suggests that there’s something unique about it. As creators, we strive to think creatively, and we’ve developed an innovative solution. Instead of generating content, our carousel plugin helps create dynamic sliders!
When you begin creating a carousel or slider, it comes with a default design, making it easy to add your content without worrying about typography or settings. Within minutes, you can create and display it on your website. However, you have the flexibility to customize the design and settings according to your needs. The key is that you continue adding modules in Divi as usual, inputting text, adding images, and tweaking the design. There are over a hundred design options specifically tailored to the carousel!
6. Decide Where You Want The Carousel #
Now it’s time to start creating your carousel! First, decide where you want it to appear. One of the fantastic things about the Divi Carousel Slider is its flexibility – you can enable a carousel anywhere within your Divi Builder layout, in any column.
The location of your carousel might depend on the type you want to create. Are you showcasing images with the Image Carousel module, displaying reviews with the Testimonial carousel, or highlighting recent blog posts with the Blog carousel? Once you’ve decided, consider if the carousel should be in a fullwidth row with a single column, or perhaps in a left or right column within a row with two columns. Should it be part of a Theme Builder template or a regular page? There’s no right or wrong answer; you have the freedom to place your carousel anywhere on your site.
7. Add Carousel To The Page #
Now, you can start adding new pages or moving existing content into the column where you want your carousel to appear. You can add any modules to the carousel! Some modules naturally fit better in a carousel than others. For example, Image, Testimonial, Person, Blog, Portfolio, Video, Products, and Google Review modules work well.
Remember, all the modules you add or move into the column where the carousel is enabled will be displayed as part of the carousel when you exit the Visual Builder and view the site on the frontend.

8. Adjust The Carousel Settings And Design #
Once you’ve enabled the carousel and created a carousel slider on any page, you’ll find all the carousel settings in the Carousel tab. These settings offer full control over the functionality and design styling of the carousel. They are organized into toggles for easy management, and you can explore and adjust them as needed. Remember to save your changes. When you exit the builder, you’ll see the modules transformed into a functional carousel on your site!
General Settings #
The general carousel settings enable you to configure and adjust key features that impact the functionality of your carousel. This includes settings such as the number of items to show per device, spacing around the carousel and modules, module width, vertical alignment, and cut off mode.
Scroll Settings #
These options give you control over the movement and behavior of the carousel, which is essential for crafting an optimal user experience for your visitors. You can adjust settings such as auto scroll, continuous smooth scroll, animation speed, scroll interval timing, infinite scroll, and scroll direction to customize how the carousel operates.
Navigation Buttons Settings #
You have various navigation button options to control carousel scrolling. You can opt to display arrows and even customize them with different icons. Additionally, you’ll find all the usual design settings, including color, background, borders, box shadow, alignment, and vertical and horizontal positioning settings.
Navigation Controls Settings #
You have the option to control carousel navigation using dots, numbers, or long dots. These navigation controls can be customized extensively with standard design settings such as width, height, borders, spacing, alignment, and box shadows.
Slide Counter Settings #
The slide counter helps users know which slide they’re currently viewing and how many slides are in the carousel overall. You can style each number and separator using comprehensive design settings.
Design Settings #
You have the option to highlight the left, center, or right module in the carousel. Customize the default and highlighted modules separately to make one stand out. Adjust design settings such as spacing, borders, box shadows, background color, opacity, and size for all modules.
Responsive Settings #
These settings are available across all other settings, enabling you to customize almost everything per device – Desktop, Tablet, and Phone. Responsive settings play a crucial role in carousels, so it’s essential to carefully consider all these options. These user-friendly settings distinguish our plugin, ensuring it meets the needs of both customers and visitors effectively.
